We spoke about how disappointing “bad” performed as a follow up to “thrilla.” Apparently, the low re re re chart appearance confirms my criticism. Not anything to do with sales, but its quality. The songs weaker, the vocals more annoying and michael is white as a ghost. I remember what the general public was saying.

At least Epic made a profit. Elvis, dead fifty years was expected to carry a rock n roll film in 2026. Hannibal thinks Elvis is mainstream.
Hannibal still think that michael popping his lips to form a beat is like Prince skillfully playing his own musical instruments, that michael is quality.
The upcoming Prince biopic should do better than “michael.” Hopefully, they find an actor that looks, moves and performs like the real man, Prince Rodgers Nelson. I await the Grand Emperor.

michael’s nephew is too solidly built to effectively play his uncle. He looks like he weighs 180 pounds in the trailers. Besides that, he definitely does not look like his famous uncle at all. michael was always a bony skeleton. The new biopic already has a fake sheen. Jermaine’s kid looks like his father, the same guy who had hits like “Let’s get serious” and “Word 2 the badd.” In other words, Jermaine finally gets to be as popular as his more famous sibling through the eyes of his adult son.

If the biopic were to win an Oscar, at least Wacko’s nephew would have had to lose weight for the role to be the the same beanpole as his deceased uncle for reality purposes. He did not want to do that because he did not want to starve himself.

“bad” has not held up very well, compared to “thrilla.” When the album first came out back in 1987, there was a lot of complaints about how different michael looked on the infamous cover. He had become a lily white man. The songs were also much weaker, which is why Prince refused to duet with michael on the butt bumping title track. Today, we can understand why it hasn’t made the same impact as the superior opus “thrilla.”
I mean, “black and white” copied Pail McCartney and Stevie Wonder’s “Ebony and Ivory” and “man in the mirror” and “i can’t stop loving you” were dreary singles. It was even worse than michael’s dated “off the wall” album.

“bad” sold well at first, but that did not make the album a good one. It was still deemed a failure by critics. Prince was wise to reject the line, “your butt is mine.” michael wanted Leif Garrett and was hoping Prince wanted to rock can. Prince said NO!
Someone is definitely deflating Prince, and not giving him his true sales per unit count, especially on his outdated thirteen million unit claim in the US. He was at that point twenty-five years ago. The soundtrack has been on the charts for over 1000 plus weeks, plus appears high on the tallies with every reissue.
Currently, “Purple Rain” is number three in the UK, right below the number one debut of the Epic soundtrack. Hannibal wants us to believe that Prince’s tally never increases, that years go by with no change in updated sales numbers. That simply makes zero sense. Since Prince had problems with Warner Brothers, maybe the ridiculously low sales numbers claimed by them is intentional, that they are purposely stalling to give Prince the update he definitely deserves.

Some fan based sales claim that Prince has sold close to forty million plus units of “Purple Rain” worldwide, which means that the soundtrack is definitely due for an update. I believe those numbers, strictly from how many weeks it has been on the charts.
Unlike michael, Prince does not have publicity campaigns that force his achievements down the throats of potential buyers. As tragic as it is, “Purple Rain” is similar to “thrilla.” Prince was never able to top his Oscar and Grammy winning masterpiece.

Prince was like Jimi Hendrix, a black artist that could play multiple instruments, compose, produce and arrange his own music himself. The masterful Prince also produced and wrote hit songs for different acts like The Bangles, Sinead O Connor, and even Madonna. He was a live touring machine. Many black artists are like michael, who needed Quincy Jones and Eddie Van Halen to do the hard work for him. Some want to discredit the purple one because he refused to play the game of less music, less output and lip synced stage performances. Prince refused to rest on his laurels.

It is no secret that michael’s posthumous albums do not sell as much as his hit collections or his one shining moment of glory, “thrilla.”
In comparison, “bad” was a failure as a long time strong seller.
Sony even tried a Halloween themed “scream” in an attempt to make the scary holiday like Christmas, yearly sales. As for such junk titles as “this is shyt” “michael” “xscape” “immortal” and “scream”, none have returned to the charts or have the same hoopla as his earlier hits. There is no doubt that floons will flock to see the new biopic, regardless of how bad it will be. As for any future soundtrack from the movie, all the hits have already been released on other collections.
Floons will realize they are just buying the same old songs for yet another time. Over exposure does burn.
Emperor Prince does not have that problem because his massive catalogue is still growing.

The best selling soundtrack of all time is Whitney Houston’s “The Bodyguard” with forty-five million units sold. Yet, Hannibal discounts the impact of what soundtracks do.
The charts for soundtracks are valid because they sell millions over time.
Prince’s “Purple Rain” constantly sells. He collected the box office, and also had free videos on MTV. michael could not act or direct in a single Hollywood production or was a leading man.
Prince even did the musical score for “Batman.”
As for Epic, the recording thankfully has 100% Elvis. No rappers like 2022’s “Elvis.”

People are claiming Epic is Oscar worthy. The film and soundtrack have of life of its own. Elvis is back on top, more popular than ever. The Prince estate needs to get involved with a new biopic for our man. This is the time!

Epic extends Elvis’s reign to the current day. New display at Graceland, just in time for the 50th anniversary. It will be like Elvis is still alive. Fans from all over the globe will flock to Memphis. Baz helped Elvis a lot with piecing the film together.
Soundtracks are long time sellers. Everybody knows it. That is why that chart is valid. Hannibal was told over about how well Prince’s “Purple Rain” is selling. It also gives Elvis another number one without upsetting Bad Bunny.

Too bad none of his crap stand alone soundtracks are charting today. “this is shyt” charted well just after his death. Overstocks were later found on clearance at the dollar tree in America. I saw it with my own eyes. Sony overstocked michael and they sat on shelves unsold and unwanted, even at rest stop gas stations.
